What's this about:
a drum and bass writing camp
Some projects start as idealism but for us this one started as a question: what happens when you take some of the best drum & bass producers and DJs in the world and put them in a 200-year-old Transylvanian farmhouse for a week? The answer is ECHOES, a drum & bass writing camp born in the heart of Romania.
First in Viscri at Alter Acoustic Studios, then in Cobor. Two editions. Two weeks of waking up to mist over Saxon villages and spending the days making music that didn't exist yet. No deadlines, no briefs, no pressure to perform. Just artists, instruments, open studios, and the kind of unhurried creative energy that's almost impossible to manufacture in a city.
The music made during Echoes didn't stay in Transylvania. It traveled. Tracks from the camps reached global audiences, culminating in a full EP released in collaboration with Hospital Records.
